Their members engage in educational events, networking opportunities, and real-world experiences that prepare them for careers in food science and technology.

- Food at meetings to have opportunities to learn how the food we eat is made and the science behind food
- Educational trips, including the IFT FIRST Conference in Chicago, Illinois
