Anonymous Donor Challenge for EHS

Let’s start the day strong, Jacks!

When we reach our first 45 donors, an anonymous donor will give $6,000 to the college today. Jackrabbits love a good challenge – so let’s pull together to unlock this one!

Greg and Pam Sands Challenge

Greg and Pam Sands believe in the work that the College of Education and Human Sciences is doing to make a difference in the world, particularly in the field of mental health. When we reach 55 more donors, they’ll make a difference for the college by donating $10,000. Yes, you read that right: $10,000!

EHS Challenge in Memory of Major General Carl H. McNair, Jr. by General Myrna Williamson

Along with the entire Jackrabbit family, the SDSU Foundation would like to share a special thanks to Brigadier General Myrna Williamson, a Jackrabbit alum who has served both our country and our university without fail. Among her many accolades, General Williamson is a South Dakota Hall of Fame inductee, a 1984 SDSU Distinguished Alumna, and remains a decades-long member of the SDSU Foundation’s Council of Trustees. For this year’s One Day for STATE celebration, she has gifted $50,000 for the College of Education and Human Sciences, unlocked when the college rallies its first 100 donors. Her gift is shared in memory of Major General Carl H. McNair, Jr.; through General Williamson’s exceptional generosity, we can support SDSU and pay tribute to her special friend. She has excelled at making a difference, especially for today’s celebration – so let’s join her!

Joe Gilpin Challenge

Think we can rally 50 additional donors?!

When we do, 1999 Jackrabbit alum, Joe Gilpin, will give $6,500.

When the yellow and blue community work together, there’s nothing we can’t do!

Dean and Dr. Kendra Kattelmann Challenge

Since her time as a Jackrabbit studying nutrition and food sciences, Kendra Kattelmann has never wavered in her passion for and support of SDSU. Now the Director of the School of Health and Consumer Sciences, Kendra and her husband, Dean, are ready to uplift State on a day when their giving can make one bold impact. When we reach 35 more donors, they’ll donate $5,000.

Together, we can make their challenge a reality!

Kate Treiber Challenge

Kate Treiber will make a $3,000 gift to the College of Education and Human Sciences when 30 additional donors give to the college today. Kate received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from SDSU and is the Executive Director at the Children’s Museum of South Dakota. Since her graduation, Kate has faithfully given back annually to the College of Education and Human Sciences. This challenge reflects the impact your donation can make toward supporting children and their families.

Friends of EHS Challenge

These donors are challenging us to transform lives in the College of Education and Human Sciences! Once 25 more donors give, these friends of the college will donate an additional $2,500. Let’s meet their challenge head-on and make a difference, Jackrabbits!

Special thanks to our participating donors: Bruce Lushbough, Bill and Twyla Smith, and Monte and Ruth Mason.

That’s $83,000 unlocked by 240 donors for the College of Education and Human Sciences! Let’s do this, Jackrabbits!
