About

First National Bank in Sioux Falls Challenge

We’re so grateful for our friends at the First National Bank in Sioux Falls and their generosity in giving back to SDSU! Once we rally our first 250 donors, they’ll contribute $5,000!

The First National Bank in Sioux Falls has worked diligently over the past 135 years to promote the growth and vitality of their city and the surrounding areas, including SDSU. The bank strives to be continually recognized as a community leader by reinvesting financial resources back into the community it serves.

Together, we can unlock their gift and make a difference!

Bob and Joni Miller Challenge

Bob and Joni Miller have been supporting SDSU Athletics for over 30 years. Now, they’re ready to support the Jackrabbits on one of the most important days of the year! When we reach 250 more donors, the Millers will give $5,000!

Anonymous Donor Challenge for Athletics

An anonymous donor has boldly challenged us to rally another 250 gifts – and remember, every gift matters, regardless of the donation amount. When we rally 250 more donors, we’ll unlock an additional $5,000 for the Jackrabbit soccer program!

It’s no small feat, but Jackrabbits accomplish big things when we work together.

GeoTek Engineering & Testing and Ralph Lindner Challenge

Ralph Lindner, a 1975 civil engineering grad, is going to bat for Jackrabbit Athletics! When we connect with our next 250 donors, Ralph will contribute an additional $5,000 to benefit the SDSU softball program.

Together as one, we have the strength to make an incredible impact for our student-athletes!

Mylo and Lillian Hellickson Challenge #1

Along with the entire Jackrabbit family, the SDSU Foundation would like to share a special thanks to Mylo and Lillian Hellickson. The The Hellicksons are avid fans of Jackrabbit Athletics, having supported the program for more than three decades. Mylo has deep ties to the university: he is a former staff member of the Department of Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering and once even served the university as interim athletic director. The Hellicksons are challenging Jackrabbit Nation to show up on One Day for STATE in a big way: when we reach 1,000 donors, they’ll give $50,000 – and the couple isn’t stopping there.

Athletics Anonymous Donor Challenge

Can we reach 300 more donors?! Jackrabbits love a good challenge, and an anonymous donor has stepped forward to challenge us to elevate opportunities for Jackrabbit Athletics. When we reach 300 more donors, we’ll unlock $10,000!

Frank Kurtenbach Athletic Challenge

With construction for the Frank J. Kurtenbach Family Wrestling Center well underway, Frank’s already shared incredible support for Jackrabbit Athletics this year. On One Day for STATE, he’s continuing his bold legacy of philanthropy by challenging us to rally 200 more donors. When we do, we’ll unlock an additional $5,000 from Frank!

Chuck and Linda Elhoff Challenge

Chuck and Linda Elhoff have been longtime supporters of Jackrabbit baseball, and today is no different. They’ve challenged us to reach 300 additional donors – once we cross that threshold, the Elhoffs will donate $10,000 to the SDSU baseball program!

Let’s follow their lead!

Mylo and Lillian Hellickson Challenge #2

Once we reach 2,000 donors to the athletics program, Mylo and Lillian Hellickson will donate an additional $50,000! Mylo and Lillian’s generosity is truly inspiring – talk about one bold impact!

Mike and Nancy Roberts Challenge

Alumni like Mike Roberts, a 1980 mechanized agriculture grad, and his wife, Nancy, believe in growing the future of SDSU Athletics. When we rally 250 more donors, Mike and Nancy will give $6,000 to support student-athletes, inside the classroom and out.

Let’s set our Jacks up for a championship-level experience!

Jerry Stiegelmeier Challenge

As the brother of SDSU’s Head Football Coach, John Stiegelmeier, Jerry clearly shares the family belief in making a difference and in supporting SDSU. On One Day for STATE, we can all join Jerry in making a difference for our Jackrabbits. When we rally 175 more donors, he’ll donate $5,000.

Let’s finish the day strong!

That’s $156,000 unlocked by 2,225 donors for SDSU Athletics! Go Jacks!
