Jackrabbit Rodeo: Come for a Degree – Rodeo with Tradition
With a strong history and over 1,200 alumni, the rodeo program has excelled with multiple NFR and CNFR qualifiers and regional championships. Your support today will significantly impact our semester's rodeos by providing crucial assistance in:
- Scholarships: These are provided annually for the rodeo team and club members who excel academically and in the arena.
- Travel: Covering partial expenses for over 5,000 miles of travel per year, including fuel for 15-16 trucks and trailers, lodging and meals for team members. Travel includes trips to major competitions like the College National Finals Rodeo.
- Boarding Stable and Practice Arena: Upgrade facilities to ensure clean, safe conditions for livestock and team members. This year, funds will enhance water hydrants, add heaters, and improve water access to keep horses healthy during cold winter months.
- Practices and Equipment: Fund essential gear, practice stock, and leases for indoor practice facilities, as well as new practice equipment to improve training and performance.
- Emergency Preparedness: Create resources for unforeseen situations, such as weather damage and maintenance needs.
Together, we can continue our tradition of excellence and ensure the rodeo program’s ongoing success while improving the facilities and resources that keep our team and horses at their best.
