“One Day for STATE brings everyone together around their love for SDSU -- friends, memories, careers. It’s about connection, support, and moving forward together.”
At the SDSU College of Nursing, One Day for STATE fuels transformation within our classrooms, in our communities, and across the state. Your support directly impacts student success, faculty development, and outreach efforts that strengthen the future of nursing in South Dakota and beyond.
Thanks to donor generosity, we’ve expanded mentorship programs, professional development for faculty, research funding, and support through the Native American Nursing Education Center. We’re growing, adding new buildings, launching an online BSN, and creating innovative simulations in collaboration with engineering. This momentum wouldn’t be possible without One Day for STATE.
Your gift supports:
Dean’s Excellence Fund: Fueling faculty development in areas like AI and simulation, and advancing cutting-edge curriculum like competency-based education.
Scholarships: Reducing financial barriers so students can focus fully on clinicals, coursework, and their calling.
Native American Nursing Education Center (NANEC): Providing wraparound support, mentorship, and culturally grounded care pathways for Native students.
Student and Faculty Advancement: Funding research, travel, and professional opportunities that shape impactful nursing leaders.
Together, we’re preparing the next generation of compassionate, skilled nurses, ready to make an impact wherever they’re needed.
Thanks to these fantastic challenges, Jackrabbits everywhere have the opportunity to make their impact go further:
